COMMUNITY & EVENTS FUNDRAISER REQUIRED
To assist in our growth there is a need to establish new sources of income.
We now require someone to fill this post.
Job Title: Community and Events Fundraiser
Location: Main office Belfast City Centre, job includes travel throughout Northern Ireland
Salary: Based on experience
Hours of Work: 16-24, must be available evenings and weekends as required
Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
To identify, organise and implement new fundraising events.
To support and assist local community members and groups in their fundraising efforts.
To make presentations to groups to encourage fundraising and help raise charity profile.
To develop Pretty ‘n’ Pink volunteer network, and organise volunteers to assist with events.
Attendance at events and cheque presentations.
Manage collection and recording of funds raised.
Efficient use and safekeeping of community fundraising resources, and updating of stock database.
Collection and updating of donor information from community fundraising activities, and updating of supporter database.
To assist corporate sponsors in developing and implementing events to raise funds for Pretty ‘n’ Pink.
To assist with ongoing Pretty ‘n’ Pink campaigns and events.
Provide administrative support to the team, including photocopying, stationary ordering etc.
Undertake any other reasonably task requested.
Any other reasonable duty as may be assigned that is consistent with the nature of the job and the running of the charity.
The importance of this role is to develop new opportunities and maximise charitable income.
Person specification (essential criteria):
Minimum of two year’s experience working within a fundraising environment.
Excellent presentation, organisational, and communication skills.
IT literate, MS Office experience essential and experience of photo shop desirable.
Flexible to work evenings and weekends as and when required.
Full current driving license and access to a form of transport which will enable the post holder to carry out all duties.
Good general education.
Assist with the upkeep of the events/fundraising news items in the website and any other communications.
Knowledge of Gift Aid and ability to demonstrate experience of working with Gift Aid.
Demonstrate previous experience of working with grant applications.
Experience of recruiting and managing volunteers.
Ability to work under pressure and have good time management skills.
Good knowledge of the charity sector in NI.
Ability to work on own initiative without supervision.
Working with media outlets to promote, market and advertise forthcoming events
Raising awareness of the charity at both local and national level
