Pretty n Pink Breast Cancer Charity says THANK YOU
Pretty n Pink in association with Slide organised a 'South Americian' themed 'thank you' event in June for all those who have raised money for Pretty n Pink throughout 2010. To date, 2010 has been a huge success with various donations made to Pretty n Pink, that are invaluable to achieving the aims of the charity. Below is an overview of the fundraising events in aid of Pretty n Pink.
January saw the launch of Una Rodden's designer t-shirt in House of Fraser, thank you to all who purchased one and there are a limited number still available for sale, if you would like to buy one please click here. Special thanks to the team at Fate especially Michael Mervyn Jones for putting the charity on the map.
The charity received over £3000 in donations from Neely Ward Dundonald, Initial Belfast, Dunnes stores Park Centre and People 1st.
March seen the launch of Jason Millars print of "Shoes at Cruise", a limited edition print available to purchase of Quantum Images, Paul and Maria Hanna.
Fate Awards was launched in March with over £4000 raised for the charity. Various bars across Northern Ireland have supported Pretty n Pink such as the Bank Newry, Mint Cookstown, Stiff Kitten.
Muriels and Spanaird have donated £2590 to date and we are now their nominated charity of 2010/11.
A beautiful coffee morning raised £1600 at Karen Blythe's house she will be missed and was an inspiration, she sadly passed away.
Omagh Total Look raised £2100 for Pretty n Pink.
Musgrave Store of the Year awards raised over £1000.
Grace Fleming and over 100 people took to the streets of Carrickfergus and walked back to Monkstown and raised over £1000 other events included collections at Tesco's and a night in Monkstown Social Club and an amazing to £4500 was raised.
We had over 150 people take part in the Belfast Marathon raising over an astonishing £25,000.
Bennett and Collins Shoe Boutique held their very own fashion show in Killyleagh along with Apres clothing and raised over £900 between them.
Money was also raised from the Sex and the City 2 night in Mintcafebar, cookstown raising £455 for Pretty n pink.
The event was a huge success in which many fundraisers turned up to show their continuous support for Pretty n Pink. The event was also used as a collection expo to collect all monies from participants who ran the 2010 Belfast Marathon in aid of Pretty n Pink. Pretty n Pink would like to give out a huge and heartfelt thank you to all of those who have donated to the charity, all help and donations are gratefully appreciated.
