Omagh's hairdressers of the Year 2010
Sunday 18th April saw 10 Hair salons from Omagh battle it out to be crowned Omagh’s hairdresser of the year 2010. Shauneen O’Donnell from Hairways won the prestige award. The competition judges included former Miss Northern Ireland Judith Wilson, top Northern Ireland Hairdressers Paul Meekin and Julie Cherry to ultimately decide who would be crowned the winner.
Local venue Sally O’ Briens hosted the event which proved an amazing success for Both South West College Event Management students, ‘Events ‘R’ Us’ and ‘Pretty n pink’ Breast Cancer Charity.
Noleen Adair stated, “it has been amazing to be involved with such a great group of people and to have been part of such a fabulous event. The money raised for Pretty ‘n’ Pink will go a long way to helping breast cancer patients in Northern Ireland. Events like this are a great opportunity to raise awareness of Breast cancer and provide support for all in need and also having an enjoyable evening”.
The winners were presented with trophies kindly sponsored by Hazel Allen Jeweller's. Omagh. Winners:

Category 2 – Professional Business Lady- Shauneen O’Donnell from Hairways modelled by Andrea Cozac.
Category 3 – Formal Wear- Claire Campbell from Claire’s Hair Studio modelled by Rowena Hart.
Category 4 – Creative Colour- Shauneen O’Donnell from Hairways modelled by Wendy McGullian.
Category 5 – Bad Boy Barbering- Shauneen O’Donnell from Hairways modelled by Garrett Kelly.
Category 6 – Full Rock Chick- Shauneen O’Donnell from Hairways modelled by Kelly Boyle
Category 7- Beautiful Bride- Eimear Keys from The Salon modelled by Laura
The audience also benefitted from plush pamper packs and superb spot prizes kindly donated by local hair and beauty businesses from Omagh. The venue, Sally O’ Briens was transformed into a pink paradise for the night with a complimentary drinks reception from West coast Cooler in keeping with the theme.
